How It Began

THE BEGINNING…..

Having grown up in a small town in Alaska Nathan knows first hand the importance of creating strong relationships and understanding the needs of others based on living in a close knit community.

Having strong influence from a faith filled home, a generous family, and being part of a life changing ministry built a foundation of solid morals, ethics, character, and deeply rooted principles that hold true to this day.

During his younger years Nathan was involved in several sports eventually choosing to excel and focus all efforts in Basketball. His passion and dedication led him to an academic and athletic scholarship to play college ball in Vancouver WA.

During these years he learned a deep understanding of performance phycology, team dynamics, and putting together championship caliber teams.

HE FELL FROM A DUNK AND BROKE HIS……..

One summer away from college Nathan was visiting his family for a short time and ended up breaking his wrist badly which took him away from basketball the game he loved some much. Throughout this experience he learned the value of patience, humility, and perseverance.

A NEW CHAPTER….

With basketball on the shelf and the growing desire to be part of a team Nathan joined T-mobile selling cell phones. Feeling the rush of making sales, learning technology, and seeing the happiness he was providing for his customers got him hooked.

After selling technology for T-mobile he went on to study, understand, and help build a company in the digital signage and marketing industry similar to GROUPON. The model consisted of leveraging the value of creating a marketplace and network for businesses to share discounts at the point of sale for customers to redeem and businesses to cross promote their products and services through a loyalty program.

BUILDING NETWORKS…..

While currently helping develop that business Nathan began understanding the power of creating networks and building value for those you serve. During this time he learned the valuable lesson of listening to others, finding their needs, always be giving, and always ready to serve.

After learning and implementing his understanding of the digital marketing business model Nathan moved on to learn another business model he was fascinated with which was performance coaching, bootcamps, nutritional coaching, online and digital product sales. But before his next venture he meets someone special…..

NATE MEETS SOMEONE SPECIAL…..

During his time in college Nathan met a special someone his wife Lacey Byrd. With their similar interests for health, fitness, coaching others, and experiencing an adventures life together they aligned their future goals and got married.
During their time together they have experienced milestones of triumph and valleys of despair. They have chosen to use these trials as fuel to impact the lives of couples through their couples retreat and podcast called The Power Couple Toolbox.

HEALTH NETWORKS…

Lacey and Nathan together created an online fitness company called Hybrid Athlete Training, a network of health enthusiasts, and conducted bootcamps throughout San Diego.

From the beaches, parks, and partnering with local business’s to help promote their services while maintaining the focus of building healthy communities and inspiring others they built their health network.

Pacific Beach **(Health and Wealth Network Event)**

While mixing Nathan’s community focused approach, business marketing experience, leadership coaching, and his wife’s knowledge of health, nutrition, and exercise programing together they created incredible experiences for others that impacted the lives of 100's in a positive way throughout the San Diego Area.

With their desire to help more people their focus changed from in person events to online. They then created programs to educate people on exercise, nutrition, and online coaching through a mobile app they had developed called Hybrid Athlete Training.

BUILDING BRANDS…..

With his focus firmly planted in helping companies grow, and knowing his knack for digital design, development, and desire to learn video production Nathan built a marketing, consulting, and video production service to help companies grow by getting more traffic to their business through great videos and superior websites called Growth Bounce.

During the process of consulting with companies about their vision and direction, he noticed a deeper need for clarity and organization within companies which led him to further his education and get AASBC Small Business Certified to provide a proven framework to help build companies through strategic planning and a detailed approach to maximizing profits and decreasing inefficiencies.

After completing their stint in San Diego it was on to their next location…..

ALASKA BOUND……

After an amazing time of community building and learning opportunities in San Diego, Nathan and Lacey decided to move to Alaska to begin creating their next venture together.

With the networks they created and all the people they know that have expressed interest in visiting Alaska they developed an exclusive high end experiential retreat business called Treasure North to bring together the brightest minds and help couples maintain amazing relationships while building thriving businesses together. In order to build more community it is on to the next location…..

BUILDING MORE COMMUNITY…..

Having built the foundation for their retreat business in Alaska Nathan and Lacey have made their way to their second location UTAH to build relationships, launch networks, and impact the community.

With Nathan’s extensive experience in developing, building networks, fundraising, working with teams, and helping companies grow it is his goal and desire to help as many founders and companies succeed through education, The Founders Odyssey Podcast, and community events.
